Sealants are thin coatings applied to your teeth that prevent cavities. Can be placed any time a tooth has not begun to show signs of decay. We use laser detection to screen for decay
We would like to make this experience as comfortable as possible. We utilize a variety of numbing and sedation options such as "laughing" gas, oral sedation, and I.V. sedation.
We use three methods of sedation (in addition to a local anesthetic).
It is necessary to abstain from food or water for 6 hours prior to the procedure.
Crowns are restorations made of porcelain or gold. Crowns can be placed on teeth that are discolored, cracked, or decayed.
Conventional orthodontics (brackets and wires) still compete with clear braces (Invisalign). Our office can provide you with ANY (Insignia, Damon, lingual braces, Roth Rx) approach to comprehensive orthodontic treatment.
Tooth colored bonding is used to fill decayed, cracked, or discolored enamel. Bonded resin can last decades if maintained properly.
There are two solutions to a toothache. One, an extraction of the tooth. The other, root canal treatment i.e. removal of infected pulp. All root canal treated teeth become brittle and need crowns in order to protect teeth from fractures. Some abscessed teeth require use of oral antibiotics and two visits to complete treatment.
Fixed (not removable) porcelain restorations that serve to replace missing teeth.
Titanium posts placed in jawbone in order to replace a missing tooth or serve as an anchor for an over-denture.
Whitening is an excelent way to insure gum health. Can be done in one of three methods.
Problems of the temporal mandibular joint (TMJ) can manifest themselves in the form of headaches, neck pain, back pain, etc. We have been successfully treating a variety of musculoskeletal disorders of craniofacial origin. We work with a variety of specialists such as chiropractors and physical therapists to ensure the stability of our treatment over time. We use 3D cat scan technology and a T-Scan (digital clench gauge) to ensure muscle balance.
We quantify the severity of clenching and grinding with the help of a computer. Clenching and grinding can cause headaches and contribute to migranes, wear your enamel down, and crack your teeth. Call for an appointment to see Dr. Asha.
Snoring can contribute to many systemic diseases, such as heart disease, strokes, and diabetes. We can help you find out how severe your snoring is with the use of a take-home testing device. We can also determine whether the use of an oral appliance such as Somnodent would be affective.
Performance enhancing Underarmor mouthguards. An excelent option for teens and adults. They increase the amount of oxygen that reach the lungs at anytime while running, golfing, etc.

We recommend that sealants are placed as soon as the adult teeth come in.
Most baby teeth can be removed with the help of a numbing gel. Some of our pateints require oral sedation and nitrous gas to feel at ease.
A sedative in the form of a syrup is administered to children while their vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen level) are carefully monitored by the doctor.
Occasionally a baby tooth may need to have a crown in order to retain space for an upcoming permanent tooth. We prefer to use materials that are metal free and tooth colored for patients of all ages. (no stainless steel crowns).
Our philosophy is not to extract teeth for orthodontic treatment, if possible. Instead we implement a variety of functional appliences to guide proper facial growth.

All fillings at Laraway Family Dentistry are tooth colored and made of light-cured resin.
Some baby teeth may need root canals called pulpotomies. It is necessary to retain baby teeth until the permanent teeth are mature enough to erupt.
We now offer a service that lets you preserve the stem cells in your children's teeth.
Dental stem cells are found in any healthy tooth:
- Baby teeth that are naturally falling out.
- Wisdom teeth being extracted.
- Teeth being pulled to make room for braces or for other orthodontic reasons.
