Sleep, Why You Should Make Time

sleepAre you short changing yourself on sleep, reducing your general health and well being? Shorting yourself on sleep can disrupt your two appetite-regulating hormones (ghrelin and leptin) to the point that they may make you eat more, gain more, and have blood-sugar issues, boosting your chance of heart attacks and strokes. Not getting enough sleep can also increase body-wide inflammation, which can clog up your arteries and increase your chance of cancer. Going against your body’s internal clock will mess with the hormone melatonie, the sleep time hormone, which doubles as a cancer deterrent. Be sure and make time to sleep, and not just sleep but get good restful sleep.
